SOUTH CAROLINA — Simonne C. Faucher, 90, formerly of 2291 Turner Road, Auburn, died Monday, July 26, at her daughter’s home in South Carolina.

Born in Lewiston, Aug. 12, 1919, a daughter of the late Desire and Ida Dupont Morin, she was educated in Lewiston schools and was married to Maurice A. Faucher June 20, 1946. He died March 25, 1996.

Mrs. Faucher was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, Ladies of St. Anne Sodality of Holy Family Parish, Holy Cross Senior Citizens, Cercle du St. Sacrement, Legion of Mary and Les Marchandes de Bonheur.

She enjoyed shopping at Mardens, attending her Cenacle, among many other prayer and church activities. She enjoyed watching and listening to EWTN.

She loved spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She often sang “La Vie en Rose” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Simonne will be remembered for many things, but most of all, her generosity to her family and her zeal for the church, Jesus and Mary.

She is survived by her daughter, Claire Graham and husband, Robert, of Waterloo, S.C.; her sons, Richard and wife, Suzanne Faucher, of East Hartford, Conn., and Rosario and wife, Nancy Faucher, of Lewiston; 10 grandchildren, Jason, Jeremy, Alicia, Veronica, Kristin, Clifford, Amy, Nathan, Carla and Jodie; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Monique Faucher; three sisters; and six brothers.
