Once again, Elliott Epstein has written a wonderfully informative column, this time “Reform immigration law — but not like this,” in the July 18 Sun Journal.
Unlike many of the syndicated writers, Epstein refrains from the use of hyperbole, and does not display a holier-than-thou attitude. Instead, he lucidly conveys many of the factors relevant to complex contemporary issues, and renders them in refreshing perspective.
His wisdom that manifests at the end of his pen, leads the way for readers to become more learned.
No, he does not excite his readers with highly charged remarks, so common in today’s media culture. What he does so well is enlighten us about important matters that may affect us.
Such effective written communication is rather rare these days, but it is certainly appreciated and does not go unnoticed.
