AUBURN — Carol Bunce of Amherst, N.Y., is pleased to announce the engagement of her daughter, Kristyn Bunce, to Nicholas DeFilipp, son of Patrick and Patricia DeFilipp of Auburn. Ms. Bunce is also the daughter of Thomas Bunce of Grand Island, N.Y.

 Ms. Bunce graduated from Williamsville North High School in New York State in 2000. She received her bachelor’s degree in theater arts and English in 2004 from Boston College and graduated from Harvard Law School in 2009. She is currently employed as a litigation associate at the law firm Foley Hoag LLP in Boston.

 Mr. DeFilipp is a 2000 graduate of Edward Little High School in Auburn. He received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2004. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in engineering management at Tufts University. Mr. DeFilipp is employed by Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems in Andover, Mass., as a senior mechanical engineer.

 The couple will wed in September on the North Shore of Massachusetts.
