CANTON — Mark A. Foster, 69, a longtime resident of Wilton, died at the Victorian Villa in Canton on Saturday, July 31.

He was born on April 28, 1941, in Farmington, a son of Kenneth and Virlie (Ranger) Foster.

He attended Wilton schools and worked for K & H Foster, Inc., building contractors. He later worked for Coca-Cola in Portland and more recently outdoors at the Dutch Treat in Wilton.

Mark always enjoyed helping people and visiting his many friends. He enjoyed wrestling, the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox and Mt. Blue High School sports. He made many friends through the Friends Together Social Club and with the people at the Victorian Villa, where he had been a resident for the past year and a half.

He is survived by his sisters, Gloria Hall of East Dixfield and Sharon Rainey of Wilton; nephews, Terry Gordon, Darryl Gordon and Daren Rainey; nieces, Shelley Finley and Alison Welch; and his longtime friend, companion and ex-wife, Marie Mitchell.

He was predeceased by his parents; and a niece, Diana Jamison.
