GREENE — On Friday, Aug. 6, the band Evergreen will perform bluegrass music at Araxine Wilkins Sawyer Memorial.

Evergreen has been entertaining New England audiences since 1991 with its blend of bluegrass, folk, old-time, country and swing.

Band members, known for their tight harmonies and original interpretations, strive to create a relaxed, fun atmosphere on-stage. Their shows are choreographed around a single mic, and they take turns fronting the band.

Making up the band are Steve Chiasson, songwriting, guitar and bass; Chris Prickett, banjo; Nel Kennedy, bass, guitar, mandolin and autoharp; and Joe Kennedy, harmonica and bass.
