LOVELL — Dan Moore, who has played piano several nights a week at the Mt. Washington Hotel over the past 10 years, will perform Saturday, Aug. 7, at the Brick Church for the Performing Arts.

Moore has been playing professionally since junior high school. He attended Montclair State College and received his bachelor of fine arts degree from the Boston Conservatory, officially studying organ, but, in fact, mostly playing new music and accompanying dancers and singers.

He worked for a long time as organist and choir director at the Bridgton Congregational Church, taught choral music at Lakes Region High School, accompanied the Choral Art Society of Portland and played continuo at the North Conway Bach Festival for many years.

He has also had fun playing at the Fryeburg Fair with his band, The Underacheivers, at the Waterwheel during Loggers Field Day.

Moore has played diverse styles of music for circuses and churches, musicals and concerts, hotels, choral festivals and even countless honky-tonks.

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 and younger. They will be available at the door. Refreshments will be served. The Brick Church is on Christian Hill Road, just off Route 5. For more information, call 925-2792 or go to www.lovellbrickchurch.org.
