PARIS — Moore Park will come alive on Saturday, Aug. 14, with arts of all kinds and a full day of live performances, including a concert by legendary guitarist Denny Breau.
More than 40 artists will exhibit paintings, fiber arts, sculpture, metal-smithed jewelry, glass arts, wood carvings, photography, beaded jewelry and more for the 42nd anniversary Celebration Moore Park Art Show presented by the town’s parks and recreation department.
The show, founded in 1968 by the Western Maine Art Group, will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a rain date of Aug. 15.
The schedule of events follows:
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Artist and artisan exhibits
9 a.m.: Children’s concert with Mary Christine
10 a.m.: Zumba dance demo
11 a.m.: Reading by poet Timothy Richardson
Noon: Award winner announcements and local musicians featured
1 to 3 p.m.: Guitarist Denny Breau
Winning artists slated to exhibit include painter Duncan Slade, photographer Jamie Cypher, glass artist Erica Carson, painter Delian Valeriani, sculptor Sheryl Westleigh, sculptor Michael Sauro, fiber artist Grace McGivergan, painter Cynthia Burmeister and fiber artist Natalie Reed.
