MONMOUTH — Theater at Monmouth will hold auditions Monday, Aug. 9, for its fall production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s “The Pirates of Penzance.”

Auditions for singers and actors will begin at 6 p.m. at Cumston Hall. David Greenham is show director.

Most of the lead roles have been cast, but spots in the chorus are available to men and woman 16 and older. Chorus rehearsals will be held on Aug. 24, 26, and 31; and Sept. 2 and 9. Staging rehearsals for the full cast will be held weekday evenings, except Mondays, and weekend days, through opening. Chorus members should be quick learners. The theater will be flexible for enthusiastic people. The emphasis of this project is to have a fun time and create a high quality, entertaining show.
