1958 – 2010
OXFORD — Cynthia DeLynne Henson, 52, of Oxford died due to complications from lymphatic cancer at Hospice House in Auburn on Sunday, Aug. 1.
She was born Feb. 1, 1958, in Norway, spent her early years in Oxford/Mechanic Falls and attended schools in Mechanic Falls, where she graduated from Edward Little High School in 1972.
Her most recent and favorite job was as a psych tech at St. Mary’s Hospital. She adored spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, James Henson; four daughters, Kaylynne Henson of Oxford, Michele Coltart and her husband, Austin, and their daughters, Lillian and Marabella of Mechanic Falls, Jenifer Tilton and her children, Hunter, Madison, Courtney and Isaac of Mechanic Falls, and Heather Tilton and her children, Michael, Rebecka, Lucas, and AJ of Mechanic Falls; her mother, Lillian Purington of Mechanic Falls; two brothers, Anthony “Tony” Purington and his wife, Susan, and family of Mechanic Falls and Henry Lauze and his family of Mechanic Falls; two sisters, Linda Holiday and her husband, Greg, and family of Mechanic Falls and Rose Violette and family of Auburn; and her previous husband and good family friend, Bruce Tilton of Lewiston.
She was predeceased by her father, Richard Purington; her sister, Lori Purington; and her granddaughter, Paige Jursa, all of Mechanic Falls.
