Otisfield reunion

OTISFIELD — Those among the group of people who attended Otisfield Central School before consolidation swallowed it up into SAD 17 are invited to a reunion at the Otisfield Community Hall on Saturday, Aug. 14. Attendees should bring their own picnic food and drinks, as well as any pictures of Otisfield Central School students, teachers or activities.

Book sale

PARIS — The last day of the Paris Public Library’s annual used book sale will be Saturday, Aug. 7. The closing day will feature a bag sale, where a standard plastic shopping bag of books may be purchased for $1.

The sale, located at the old Paris Farmer’s Union building, the corner of Main Street and Skilling Avenue, will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, contact the library at 743-6994 or e-mail [email protected].

Hike and bike

AUGUSTA — MaineShare’s annual Hike and Bike event will take place during August. The “smaller footprint” event allows participants to choose their own hike, bike ride or walk from anywhere while raising money for MaineShare.

The event will be held in a virtual format that will save time, paper, fuel and offer more flexibility for participants. With no expenses involved, every dollar raised will go to MaineShare.
