Lisbon children’s librarian Jo-Jean Keller, right, and library director Diane Nadeau, background, work together to wash one of the town’s vehicles in the parking lot of the Town Hall on Thursday morning. They were living up to their challenge after telling the children at the library that if they read more books this summer than they did last summer, the librarians would wash all of the Public Works trucks by hand. In addition to washing the outsides, a squirt of air freshener and some other “feminine touches” were added to a few of the vehicles.
