Lorine Socci waits for cars to turn away at the corner of Pond Road and Grove Street in Lewiston on Thursday. She had to stop traffic as trucks with asphalt were pouring in to pave a section of the road that has been closed for several months. Crews replaced the main water line and service to each house on the road. “If the rain holds off, we should have the road open by the end of the day,” Socci said, adding that it would close for a few hours Friday morning so crews could apply the top coat of asphalt.
