1924 – 2010

LEWISTON — Shirley M. Fournier, 86, of 71 Spring St., Auburn, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, at the Russell Park Manor in Lewiston.

Born in Berlin, N.H., on July 16, 1924, the eldest of four children of Allen and Geraldine Lowe Fournier, her family moved to Lewiston when she was 9 years old. She graduated from Lewiston High School, and worked at Bates Fabrics for 42 years in both the accounts payable and then accounts receivable departments.

She loved roller skating and went several times a week. She also loved to watch the Red Sox, and in her later years enjoyed going to plays.

She is survived by three nieces, Linda Doyon and her husband, Dan, Barbara Davis and Susan Barbay and her husband, Christopher; and two nephews, Michael Fournier and Thomas Fournier.

She was predeceased by her parents, a sister, two brothers, and two nephews.
