LEWISTON — Barbara G. Palmer, 77, of Pleasant Street, died Friday, Aug. 6, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Lewiston, a daughter of Beatrice Gertrude, she was educated in Lewiston schools. She worked for several years at Waves Hotel in Old Orchard. Barbara was a former member of The Acme Snowshoers Club. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching wrestling and especially walking because of her great love for the outdoors.

Barbara is survived by two sons, Leo Palmer Jr. and Anthony Palmer, both of Lewiston; one daughter, Deborah Ann Palmer of Lewiston; four grandchildren, Jason Alan Pratt, Christopher Ryan Palmer, Ashley Marie Palmer and Austin Will Adams; and several brothers and sisters.

She was predeceased by her parents; and her husband, Leo P. Palmer, whom she married on Sept. 26, 1961, and who passed away in 2005.
