Boy, aren’t these great times we live in. Just think a bit — our federal politicians are too afraid of Washington, D.C., to do the will of the people. And how about these 2,000 or more page bills they are passing without even reading them?

I don’t think it sits well with the representatives; however, they went ahead and voted the office of the president the ways and means to make Congress useless. And I will bet that people will re-elect the same representatives.

With all the czars and committees the president has created, Congress is growing more meaningless by the day and probably will vote itself out of existence, if it hasn’t already. That bit of information might just be in one of those 2,000-page bills.

The country will also need to change its name to the United Socialist States of America. All that and more because members of Congress feared losing their political jobs more than their country.

And what do we tell our children who go off to one of those winless wars? Don’t get yourself injured very bad or our new health system will send you to one of the many death panels if you come home too injured to support yourself?

Never did I expect to see the country go socialist in my lifetime.

I guess it’s time to go fishing and relax a bit.
