AUBURN — On the last weekend in July, the Edward Little High School Class of 1960 held its 50th reunion. Approximately 50 members gathered at Taber’s Lakeside Stand (just as they were apt to do in 1960) on the evening of July 30.

A dinner and dance was held on July 31 at the Carriage House banquet facility in Lewiston, with 102 classmates in attendance. Serving as reunion chairmen were George “Buster” Downing and Roland Rancourt.

The reunion committee conducted a floral ceremony in honor of the 43 deceased classmates. There was a brief business meeting highlighted by the singing of the school song and ending with the giving of a crystal plaque to class president Dick Norcross and class secretary MaryAnn Wilkinson Norcross for their service to the class.

Everyone left the reunion with an Edward Little Class of 1960 coffee cup made by classmate Eunice Channel Marquis, a CD with music from the 1960s, an up-to-date class directory and a class picture taken that evening.

A breakfast was also held at the banquet facility on Aug. 1 and 68 classmates met one last time.

During the weekend there were class members attending from Arizona, California, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas and Utah.
