LEWISTON — Beatrice W. Everett, 95, of 350 Merrow Road, Auburn, died on Sunday, Aug. 8, at Marshwood Health Care Facility, after a short illness.

She was born in Oxford, Jan. 12, 1915, the daughter of John and Delia (Johnson) Ramsey and had been a resident of this community for most of her life. She was educated in Brunswick schools.

She married Elmer P. Everett in Freeport on March 31, 1934; he died on Aug. 26, 1989. She was employed for many years as a fancy stitcher in the local shoe industry, until her retirement in 1980.

Beatrice enjoyed playing cards, doing jigsaw puzzles, reading, doing word search, loved walking and doing her yard work. She also was an avid bowler and golfer. She was a member of the First Auburn Senior Citizens and Robin Dow.

She is survived by one son, Wayne Everett and his wife, Doris, of Poland; one daughter, Brenda DeWitt and her husband, George, of Auburn; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Donald Everett Feb. 21, 1991; and three grandchildren, Dale Stockwell on Feb. 1, 1989, Julie Clark in 1999 and Laurie Snow in 2005.
