Class lunch
MEXICO — Members of the Mexico High School Class of 1948 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, at the Mexico Chinese Restaurant.
All members of the class are invited to finish last minute preparation for the class reunion, to take place Saturday, Aug. 21.
Park association
RUMFORD — Members of the Strathglass Park Owners Association will meet at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, in the Municipal Building Conference room, for their monthly meeting.
Senior citizens trip
DIXFIELD — The Dixfield Neighborly Senior Citizens will host a cruise on Friday, Aug. 20 aboard the M/S Mount Washington at Lake Winnipesaukee, N.H. The cost is $75 each person, which includes bus, cruise and meal. The group will stop en route in Conway.
Pick up times will be 7:15 a.m. in Dixfield and 7:30 a.m. in Mexico. There is room for anyone wishing to attend the trip. For more information, call Connie at 364-4189 or Carol at 364-4798.
Brown family reunion
DIXFIELD — The George and Bernice (Flagg) Brown family reunion was held on Aug. 1 at Welch’s Campground. Traveling the furthest was David Gallant and family of Converse, Texas. Others were present from Palm Springs, Fla., Bangor, Rumford, Mexico, Dixfield, Limington, Limerick, Andover, Parkman, Jay, Lewiston, Levant and Old Orchard Beach.
Both surviving daughters were present, Connie Tutlis of Rumford and Eileen Gallant of Bangor, as well as the surviving son-in-law Albert Spaulding of Dixfield. One four-generation group was present consisting of Connie Brown Tutlis; her son, Steven Tutlis; his daughter, Melissa Tutlis; and her daughters, Kassandra and Rheana Roberts. A get well card was signed for Wendy Martin.
Games were played and a potluck lunch was enjoyed. A pinata made by Wendy Martin was enjoyed by the children. The reunion next year will be held on Sunday, July 31, at the summer residence of Bert and April Brown in Carthage.
Church supper
MEXICO — A public supper will be served at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, at the Mexico Congregational Church, UCC (the Green Church). The menu will include baked ham, summer salads, vegetables and homemade pies.
Cost for adults is $7; children under 12, $3. The dining room is handicapped accessible.
