BRIDGTON — The Bridgton Community Center, 15 Depot St., will host the second annual Depot Street Festival and Family Fun Day from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14.
There will be food, music and activities for people of all ages. Admission is free and patrons can purchase tickets, for $10, for the pig roast, which includes a side dish and soft drink. Chicken, hot dogs and burgers from the grill will also be offered.
Kids can get a free horse-cart ride, a ride on Bridgton Fire Department’s 1939 Diamond T fire truck and visit the Quint ladder truck. Kids can also participate in a pie-eating contest, tug-of-war, face painting, bouncy tent, dunk tank and Jail-N-Bail (for kids of all ages).
There will be music by The Hurricane Mountain Country Band, The Cruisers, The Bridgton Brass Ensemble and The Dan Ross Band. A performance by Western Maine Dance and Gymnastics will take place under the big tent as well as a fashion show.
All proceeds from the festival will benefit the Bridgton Community Center. For more information, call 647-3116.
