LEWISTON — As part of its commitment to social responsibility and concern for its community, Northeast Bank has donated $1,500 to Sandcastle Clinical and Educational Services.

Sandcastle Clinical and Educational Services, which specializes in early childhood education and intervention, will use the money to pay for a playground shading structure at its new facility at 72 Strawberry Ave. which officially opens Sept. 1.

The philosophy of the program is that every child, regardless of ability or disability, is entitled to access to childhood programming. As a family-centered preschool, Sandcastle offers year-round preschool and prekindergarten classes.
