DEAR SUN SPOTS: I’m looking for sealing wax. The Book Burrow used to carry it, but no longer. I’m not online. So any help on where to purchase it by mail or from here to the Augusta area would be greatly appreciated.

Also, any idea where to find the fresh curd cheese used in poutine, specifically the cheese used when Say Cheese was still open in Lewiston? Thanks. — L., No Town

ANSWER: Craft-Mania, 730 Center St. in Auburn, 783-8265, has sealing wax that you put into a glue gun and heat up that way. Sealing wax is also available at www.letterseals.com (24131 Crystal Lake Road, Woodinville, WA 98077, fax 425-489-2580) or at amazon.com (1-800-201-7575).

Sun Spots called Smiling Hill Farm (781 County Road, Westbrook, 775-4818), which said they have that cheese. You can shop there from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have found a secondhand chair I love online, but the cost of shipping from Colorado to Maine is prohibitive. I wonder if anyone in the readership area is planning a trip to Denver and would have room in their truck or large cargo area to bring back an easy chair and ottoman.

I am willing to pay a reasonable price that would help them with gas and tolls on their vacation. It’s a long shot, I know, but if anyone can help, it will be Sun Spots! Thanks! — Susan Weber, sweber@lewistonpublicschools.org, 212-6542

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am part of Troop 116 in Lewiston and am planning on doing an Eagle Project this summer at Bradbury Mountain State Park. I will be building a lean-to at a group site that has a 10- by 8-foot base. I am trying to keep it looking natural, so I would like to use cedar logs as the framing members.

I will need 190 feet of 6-inch diameter logs to complete the framing, and I will also need 1- by 10-inch boards for the floors, walls and ceilings of the structure.

Any materials that you may be able to contribute to my community service project would be greatly appreciated. You can contact me by phone at 782-3517. Thanks. — Chris Paine, demonsbball@aim.com

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am interested in finding my lost family. I know very little of my father’s background. My father is Linwood L. T. M. Hodgkins III. His family is from Auburn, and his dad died in 1969. My grandmother was born in Auburn, daughter of Jesse O. and Ethel Abbott. If any family member would like to meet me or talk to me, I’m at hodgkinsbrett@yahoo.com. — Brett Hodgkins, Pittsfield, Mass.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Would any readers know how to play the tile game Mahjongg, the American version? I have acquired a game and would love to learn and find some players (four are required to play the game) to play with. Thank you once again for your helpful column. — Sally Moulton, smoulton@fairpoint.net

ANSWER: Sun Spots found a brief description of the rules at http://tinyurl.com/232fyjw and a more thorough one at http://tinyurl.com/hechz. You can order a card with the rules for $7 or $8 (large print) at www.nationalmahjonggleague.org. You also can buy a book on the game at Amazon.com.
