RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Theodore J. “Ted” Tanguay was celebrated Monday at Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius–St. John Church, Rumford, with the Rev. Alfred Jacques as celebrant. Altar assistant was George Gionet and organist was Mark Belanger. Music selections were “Be Not Afraid,” “The Lord is My Shepherd,” “Amazing Grace” and “Ave Maria.”  Readings were given by Elizabeth Tanguay-Collins and Lisa Brown. The eulogy was given by Noah Tanguay-Collins and Dale Brown. Pallbearers were Rick Calden, Dick St. Pierre, Billy Collins, Gregg Tanguay, Joe Freeman and Woody Freeman. Committal services were conducted by the Rev. Alfred Jacques. Interment was in St. John Cemetery, Rumford. Military honors were provided by the Maine Military Funeral Honors Program from Augusta. A reception followed at the parish hall of St. Athanasius–St. John Church. Arrangements were under the care of the Meader and Son Funeral Home.
