FARMINGTON – At least four car burglaries were reported overnight Thursday by the cars’ owners, all residents on Box Shop Hill in the Fairbanks neighborhood..

The vehicles hit had been left unlocked in driveways, Farmington police said.

There has been an ongoing problem with car break-ins in Farmington this summer, police said. A series of incidents reported in the High Street area was eventually resolved and arrests made.

The violations in the Fairbanks area don’t appear to be connected, they said.

Stolen sometime between 10 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday were a global positioning system device worth between $100 and $200, woodworking tools, a radar detector, CDs, change, and other items, the police report said.

Department spokeswoman Bonnie Pomeroy said several of the cars hit were all parked in the same driveway.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Police Department at 778-6311.
