Saddleback Mountain Bike Challenge I

On August 8 mountain bikers took to the trails of the Rangeley Lake Trails Center for the Saddleback Challenge I. There were three categories: Novice (11.5 miles), Sport (16 miles), and Expert (21 miles). In the Novice category David Cyr on Farmingdale took first place with a time of 1 hour and 33 minutes. In the Sport category, Jeff Hershberger of Greenwood took first with a time of 1 hour and 48 minutes. Mount Vernon’s Adam Larochelle took the Expert category with a time of 2 hours, 8 minutes.

Saddleback Challenge II will be held Sunday, Sept. 5 at 10 a.m. at the Rangeley Lakes/Saddleback Trail Center.
