BETHEL — Singer-songwriter Brad Hooper will perform Sunday, Aug. 15, as part of the Mahoosuc Arts Council 2010 Summer Bandstand Concert Series.

 For this storyteller, a guitar is merely a vehicle allowing him to sing and tell tales. A resident of Albany Township, Hooper’s concerts feature original music reflecting the character of people living in western Maine. Expect laughter, tears and thought-provoking songs from country to rock ‘n’ roll.

 Concerts are at 4 p.m. on the Bethel Common. Admission is free. Next up in the series is the duo of Jewel Clark & Donnie Katlin on Aug. 22.
