Between 7 a.m. Friday, Aug. 6, and 7 a.m. Friday, Aug. 13, Lewiston police responded to 745 calls for service. Of those calls, 138 were motor vehicle stops.

Criminal Mischief

A vehicle parked at 129 Oak St. had a windshield broken on Aug. 11 at 1:21 p.m. The suspect was a thin black male who fled in a grey/blue van.

A vehicle parked at 10 Oak St. had a tired slashed overnight Aug. 7 – Aug. 8.

The Bank of America at 456 Sabattus St. was tagged with graffiti on Aug. 12 at 10 two tall skinny males wearing hoodies.

A vacant building at 16 Pleasant St. had been vandalized sometime prior to 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 12.

Aggravated Assault

Units responded to 80 College St. on Aug. 9 at 11:11 p.m. for a report of an assault. Upon arrival, they found the victim suffering from a serious assault. Witnesses report seeing the victim and the suspect walking together shortly before it occurred. The suspect then struck the victim in the face and then repeatedly kicked him while he was on the ground.

Operating Under the Influence

Nicholas Koch, 24, was charged with operating under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident on Aug.12 at 12:30 a.m. at the corner of Jack Court and Oak Street.

Brandon Williams, 18, was charged with operating under the influence and operating while license suspended on Aug. 9 at 4:11 p.m. at 20 East Ave. following an accident.


Daryle Gormley, 44, is wanted on a warrant charging unpaid fines for operating after suspension.

Jessica Anderson, 25, is wanted on a warrant charging failure to appear for operating without a license.
