RUMFORD — Ellen B. McClennan, 93, of Rumford, and Fort Myers Beach, Fla., died peacefully and with much love at the Rumford Community Home on Tuesday, July 6.

She was born in Boston, Mass., Feb. 19, 1917, to Theodore and Anna (Budris) Sharko. The family later moved to Peru.

Ellen was very proud of her Lithuanian heritage.

She graduated from Mexico High School and shortly after moved to Boston and attended Wilfred Academy. She was a beautician for more than 50 years in South Weymouth, Mass. She later moved to Fort Myers Beach, Fla., and was very active in the VFW, Moose, and the American Legion.

Ellen was very caring and loving to her family and others and her laugh was contagious.

She was married to Leo McClennan for 35 years. He died in 1985.

Surviving is her daughter, Jane Aube and husband, Michael, of Rumford; special nieces, Ann Brennan, Jane Lowell and Gail Cutting; best nephews, Jan and Jim Perreault, of North Carolina. Ellen has gone home to her beloved sisters, Ann and Louise.
