LEWISTON — Philip A. Noyes Jr., 77, of Hebron died Monday, Aug. 16, at Central Maine Medical Center.

He was born in Weld, Oct. 3, 1932, the son of Philip Sr. and Minnie S. Snowman Noyes. He attended schools in Weld. He was the road commissioner for the town of Weld.

From 1959 to 1984, he was a Ranger with the Forestry Department for the State of Maine. His job was his hobby. He married Neila Nichols on Nov. 10, 1956. He was a member of the Mystic Tie Lodge 154 AF & AM in Weld, a founding member of Poland Rescue and a member of the Poland Fire Department. He loved his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of Hebron; a daughter, Tammy Field and her husband, Steve, of Hebron; a grandson, Joshua of Hebron; a granddaughter, Ashley of Hebron; and a great-granddaughter, Logan.

He was predeceased by an infant son; and a sister, Louise.
