LEWISTON — Joseph “Joe“ Grinnell, 55, a longtime resident of Monmouth died on Aug. 11, in Lewiston, where he had resided for a short time.

He was born in Boston, Mass., a son of the late Peter and Cathrine (Grinnell) Halfkenny. He attended schools in Franklin, Mass.

Joe loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren and his two dogs Mickey and Molly. He also enjoyed fishing, boating, fast cars and riding his motorcycle.

Joe is survived by his loving children, Kelly Blue and her husband, Mike, Sabrina Toye and her partner, Christopher Gagne and Peter Grinnell and his wife, Amy; three grandchildren, Tyler and Alicia Blue and Cooper Grinnell; his sisters, Denise Hedtler and her husband, Rick and Pauline Hogan; sisters-in-law, Nancy Grinnell and Donna and her husband, Tom Chase; and many nieces and nephews.

Joe was predeceased by his parents; his loving wife, Deborah Grinnell in 2008; his brothers, Duke and James Grinnell; and sisters, Patsy Grinnell and Joanne Dones.
