LEWISTON — A variety of volunteer opportunities are available at Museum L-A as the fall season approaches. Opportunities may include assisting with the front kiosk and daily operations, helping with special events, leading school tours, lending a hand with exhibits, working with artifacts and documents and conducting research.

Museum L-A is the “Story of Work and Community in Lewiston-Auburn” as it celebrates the economic, social and technological legacy of the area and its people. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

The new exhibit on the shoemaking industry of Lewiston-Auburn is scheduled to open this fall. It is the third of the museum’s award-winning “Portraits and Voices” series featuring oral histories, time lines, photographs and original works of art.

For more information on volunteering call 333-3881 or contact kleandririder@museumla.org.
