RUMFORD — A 17-year-old Rumford boy who has been missing since Aug. 4 was located Tuesday afternoon in Berlin, N.H., and taken into custody by Berlin police, Rumford police Cpl. Doug Maifeld said Wednesday morning.

Maifeld said that when found, Jake Allen Ricci was unharmed. His mother then drove to Berlin and brought him home to Rumford.

Ricci’s mother reported him missing three days after he went to a friend’s house on Aug. 3 to spend the night. She also listed him with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which then sent Ricci’s picture and information nationwide as an “endangered runaway” on its website.
