DIXFIELD — Patrol officers will be out in full force late Friday night and early Saturday morning checking for drivers operating under the influence.

Officer Eric Bernier said the locations of the roadblocks are not being disclosed. Several officers will be on duty.

Funds for the extra patrols come from a state highway safety grant.

In another matter, Bernier said all 30 bicycles that the department has found over the years were sold during the community’s annual Outdoor Market last Sunday.

The $285 raised will go toward the department’s Drug Abuse Resistance Education program conducted in area schools.
