LEWISTON — The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing at Central Maine Medical Center will offer a free workshop focusing on ovarian cancer awareness. “Breaking the Silence on Ovarian Cancer” will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, at CMMC, 12 High St., in Conference Room A.

Ronni Arno Blaisdell, director of communications for the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, will discuss the quiet, but not silent, signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer.

As they listen to the presentation, participants are encouraged to take part in “Teal Toes” and have their nails painted by volunteers in the color designated for ovarian cancer awareness.

Registration is available online or by phone. For more information, call the Dempsey Center at 795-8250, toll-free at 877-336-7287 or visit www.dempseycenter.org.
