LEWISTON — The Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce is offering a four-session Energy Lunch and Learn Series In September and October at the chamber office, 415 Lisbon St.

Sponsored by the Hilton Garden Inn Auburn Riverwatch, each session will address an energy consumption related issue designed to assist organizations in energy use reduction and energy conservation.

In the first session, Sept. 2, Richard Meinking, business programs specialist with Efficiency Maine, will present “Planning for Reduced Energy Usage.” Discussion will center on how to develop baseline data to measure energy use and where to go for help.

The topic for session two, Sept. 29, is “Heating and Hot Water Options for Reducing Energy Use.” An overview of conservation systems, controls and different types of water heaters will be presented.

“Tax Law and Energy Improvements” is the topic for session three on Oct. 21. The new tax law changes and how they can benefit an organization will be discussed.

On Nov. 17, “Local Businesses Succeeding at Reducing Energy and Saving $$$: A Panel” will feature a number of success stories about how local organizations have saved on their energy costs.
