ANSWER: Sun Spots received these names in a hand-written letter and did the best she could to read the writing and spell everyone’s name correctly. She fears she did not succeed.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Again, I am asking for a favor from you. I am looking for a gentleman named Jerry Bolduc. This Mr. Bolduc attended school at the O.M.I. His family owned and operated the Bolduc Moving Co. in the Lewiston-Auburn area.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am looking for a lady named Sturcha “Sue” Collins. She was a friend of my mother while we were growing up. I have pictures of her and her children that I found after my mother passed away and would like to give them to her or any of her children.

I may be reached after 4 p.m. at 784-4106. Thank you. — Rina Cloutier, rcbc2@roadrunner.com

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Recently I purchased a postcard written from Ft. Devens, Mass., in May 1943 by a young military person named Richard. It was mailed to J (U?) Desjardins, 6 Newbury St., Auburn, Maine.

Richard writes “Dear Dad, Having a swell (??) in Devens. Today we are getting our Army clothes. Hope mom is not worrying to much. Your loving son Richard.”

The card is wonderfully done and shows three military men making their bunks.

If you could help me find the author or grandchildren of this person, I’ll send the card to them. Thanks for your help. — Greg Pierce, Monmouth, Ore., pierce2882@msn.com
