Services resume
NORWAY — The Universalist Church of Norway will resume its regular Sunday services at 11 a.m. on Sept. 5.
The service will focus on “truth-telling,” and explore the Unitarian Universalist tradition of emphasis on a free and responsible search for truth and meaning.
Child care is available and people of all religious traditions, or none, are welcome to visit. For information about the Unitarian Universalist Association of churches and local churches in Maine go to www.uua.org. The web site for the Norway church is www.norwayuu.org.

Knitting group
PARIS — The Paris Public Library continues to host a knitting group open to all ages at 4 p.m. Mondays. Everyone is welcome to attend, from those just learning to more experienced knitters. Crocheters are welcome, too.
Needles, hooks and yarn will be available for in-library use or participants may bring their own. For more information, contact the library by phone at 743-6994 or e-mail [email protected].
Worship schedule
NORTH WATERFORD — The worship schedule for the Oxford County United Parish churches of North Waterford and Stoneham has been changed. Instead of moving to the Stoneham Church, services will continue to be held at North Waterford during September.
While the search for a pastor to replace the Rev. George Frobig, who recently retired, is ongoing, guest speakers have been arranged for each Sunday.
A meeting of the Oxford County United Parish will be held at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, at the North Waterford Church vestry.
