LEWISTON — Ethel J. Saucier, 56, of Lewiston passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Aug. 29, at Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Lewiston, March 30, 1954, the daughter of Benoit and Estelle (Poissonnier) Pelletier and had been a resident of this community all of her life.

She was educated in Lewiston schools and was employed in the local shoe industry for many years.

Ethel was an extremely generous person. She was a dedicated worker, mother and wife. The most important part of her life was her family and her grandchildren. She also enjoyed crocheting.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald K. Saucier, whom she married on June 20, 1987 of Lewiston; one daughter, Roxanne Martin of Gray; one son, Karl Martin of Lewiston; two grandchildren, Jazmine Tullo and Morgan Dearborn; three brothers, Bert Pelletier and his wife, Irene, of Lewiston, Vernon Pelletier and his wife, Diane, of Arizona, and Carl Pelletier and his companion, Jane Hart, of Brunswick; five sisters, Joan Buswell and her husband, Richard, of Litchfield, Barbara Robitaille of Auburn, Nancy Lank and her husband, Bruce, of Kennebunk, Theresa Bedard and her companion, Ken, of Lewiston and Beverly Pelletier and her husband, Paul, of Poland; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; and a sister, Susan Sutton Sept. 25, 2007.
