Coach: Brad Bishop (10th year)

Last year’s record: 7-2, lost to Yarmouth in Western Class C quarterfinals

Returning players: Seniors — Dillon Newcomb (T/DT), Sam Chabot (G/LB), Tyler Halliday (G/LB), Mike Armstrong (TE/DE), Holden Parker (C/NG), Mike Castonguay (T), Alex Rose (HB/DB).

Key losses: Chandler White (FB/LB), Jeff Ryder (HB/DB), Nate Michaud (SE/DB), Shawn Whiting (QB/DB), Matt Michaud (C), Jake Nichols (T).

Promising newcomers: Juniors — Gavin Jones (RB/DB), Steve Michaud (RB/DB), Tommy Lee (RB/DE); Sophomores — Nate Hamblin (QB), Brandon Hodges (TE); Freshman — Alwayne Uter (DB).

Outlook: The Andies lost the leading rusher in Class C, White, to graduation. But Bishop has a way of finding the workhorse to fuel his team’s Wing-T attack, and Rose looks like a worthy heir apparent. If either Jones, Lee or Michaud emerges as a second option, LF’s offense should be tough as ever. Easing the transition is an experienced line, anchored by Newcomb, Chabot, Armstrong and Halliday, all of whom will be a factor defensively as well.

Coach’s comment: “I think we’ll be alright eventually. In Class C, everyone’s in the same boat.”— Coach Brad Bishop
