LISBON FALLS — Bertrand L. Barrett Jr., 70, resident of Wing Street, former longtime resident of Wales, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, at his residence.
He was born June 23, 1940, in Augusta, a son of Bertrand Louis and Juliette (Lacombe) Barrett. He was educated in Farmington and graduated from Farmington High School, Class of 1958. As a young man, Bertrand had worked for his parents at their grocery stores before they were purchased by Shaw’s Supermarkets. Together with his wife Jacqueline, they owned and operated the TV Focus Magazine in Lewiston for several years until his retirement.
Bertrand enjoyed spending free time hunting.
Survivors include his son, Bertrand Louis Barrett III of Turner; two daughters, Theresa Kim Barrett of San Antonio, Texas, and Wendy Marie Barrett of Boston, Mass.; a brother, Lawrence Barrett of North Carolina; one grandson, Joshua Louis Barrett; and his former wife of 30 years, Jacqueline Barrett of Wales, and Florida.
