LEWISTON — Helen A. Clinton, 84, passed away on Sept. 1, at Central Maine Medical Center.
She was Oct. 10, 1925, the daughter of Winfield and Bertha (Reed) Rose in Canton. She attended Buckfield schools and graduated from Buckfield High School in 1943.
Helen enjoyed Bingo, and playing cards. Every summer, she picked blackberries and blueberries to share with her family. In her spare time, she liked to tend her flower gardens and look at old photos.
Helen married Joseph Clinton in Lewiston in 1956, and she worked for New England Telephone Co. in many states while following her husband’s employment.
Helen is survived by five nieces, Donna Greenleaf of Livermore Falls, Patricia Mitchell of Jay, Sandra Benedetto of Auburn, Penny Farnum of Jay and Regina Kelley of Winthrop; and a nephew, Richard Therrien of Jay.
She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Joseph Clinton; her parents, Winfield and Bertha Rose; brothers, Reginald, Shirley and Clifford Rose; and sisters, Winnefred Rose, and Pauline Therrien.
