AUBURN — Paul and Gay Metevier of North Yarmouth, with Wayne and Susanne Cope of Pelham, N.H., are pleased to announce the engagement of their children, Seth Metevier and Jennifer Cope, both of Westbrook.

Miss Cope is a graduate of Presentation of Mary Academy in 2002 and the University of New England in 2007 with her master’s degree in occupational therapy. She is employed at Spring Harbor Hospital in Westbrook.

Mr. Metevier graduated from Cheverus High School in 2002, LeMoyne College in 2006 and the University of Southern Maine in 2009 with his master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. He is employed as a supervisor for Cumberland County Crisis Response (a program of Youth Alternatives Ingraham) and as an outpatient clinician in Westbrook and Lewiston.

Miss Cope is the granddaughter of John and Olivia Comeau of Pelham, N.H., and Barbara Baril and the late Edward Cope of Pelham, N.H. Mr. Metevier is the grandson of Beverly and the late Richard Peterson of Auburn, and Virginia and the late Robert Metevier of Kittery. Mr. Metevier’s mother is the former Gay Peterson of Auburn.

The wedding will be held on Oct. 9 at St. Patrick’s Church in Pelham, N.H.
