I commend the Sun Journal and the staff of reporters who researched and published the recent articles on the history of Lisbon Street businesses going back to 1949 (Aug. 29).

My mother’s family, the Doucettes, were from Lewiston, and I noticed the entry for Laura’s Hat Shop (later, Laura’s Hats and Felix’s Antique Shop) at No. 237, circa 50 or more years ago.

It brought back memories of long-ago visits to Lewiston when I was a youngster, and I remember going to the shop to see my Aunt Laura and Uncle Felix Raspiler (my godfather).

Kudos to the Sun Journal for a fine job of feature reporting.
