LEWISTON — John R.E. Bean, 63, went to be with his Lord on Sept. 4, with his daughters by his side.

John enjoyed being a ham radio operator. He worked for over 20 years at Hahnel Brothers before owning his own sheetmetal business before falling ill.

He is survived by his four children, Jeff Bean, Susan Allen and Paul Bean of Auburn and Sarah Clark of Lisbon; siblings, Betty, Diane, Herbert Jr., Pauline and Winnie; 10 grandchildren; a great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

John was predeceased by his brother, Richard.
