Cecil Phillips, blue truck, of Avon and Bill Foster, yellow truck, of Limington hit the gas as a group of children watch during the Autumn Mud Classic at Barnyard All Terrain in Livermore on Sunday. The track hosted two days of competition, including mud drags, hill and hole racing, deep mud action and mattress surfing. “They run anything and everything,” said Melissa Lovewell of Livermore Falls. “We have a good time down here.” Rain from Hurricane Earl provided plenty of mud. “It’s very, very soupy from all the rain Earl brought us,” said Lovewell, whose 4-year-old son Nathaniel races a 90cc four-wheeler. Barnyard’s next big event is their Halloween Mud Bash on Oct. 9-10. Children from left are Willy Simpson, 12, of Limington; Damion Stubbs, 7, of Cornish; Hunter Chaplain, 6, of Cornish; Bill Rideout, 7, of Parsonsfield and Jacob David, 4, of Cornish.
