AUBURN — The Robin Dow Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, at the American Legion Post 31, 426 Washington St. The board of directors will meet at 10 a.m. Bingo will follow after a bag lunch.

At the last meeting on Aug. 24, held with President Merry Strout presiding, 46 members were present.

On Aug. 20, members and guests traveled by bus to Meredith, N.H. On arrival the group changed to board a train for a ride to view Lake Winnipesaukee and surrounding areas. A turkey dinner was served on the train during the trip.

Chairwoman Evelyn Sawin announced she is having a trip on Oct. 8 to view the fall foliage at Rangeley Lake and the mountainous forested area, with dinner at Loon Lodge. The price of the trip is $60, which includes transportation, bingo on the bus and full course dinner choice, consisting mainly of chicken, beef or fish. Nominations are in order to fill officer positions for the upcoming year.

Birthdays for August were acknowledged.
