Fall shoots

NORWAY — The Norway-Paris Fish and Game Association will host the annual fall shoots from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, 19 and 26, at the club range on the Buckfield Road. The rain date is Oct. 3.

The club offers voice activated trap and running deer shoots for all ages. There are prizes for each round and the overall winners in all categories will receive trophies at the October club meeting.

The winners of the 10 gun raffle will be drawn at the Sept. 26 shoot. There will be some raffle tickets for sale at the shoots. Hamburgers, hot dogs and homemade goodies will be available. For more information, call President Jim Alberi at 743-8339.

Italian supper

OTISFIELD — An Italian supper will be held at the East Otisfield Free Baptist Church from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11. The men of the church will be in the kitchen serving lasagna with meat, gluten-free lasagna, salads and garlic bread. The dessert table will feature pies. Coffee will be served as well as other beverages.

Everyone is welcome. Donations will be accepted. The church is located on the Rayville Road off Route 121.

Bean supper

PARIS — The First Baptist Church of Paris, Paris Hill, will have an old-fashioned bean supper at the church from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11. The menu will include baked beans, brown bread, casseroles, hot dogs, rolls, salads, biscuits, desserts and all the fixings.

The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children age 12 and under. Proceeds will benefit the Church General Fund and 10 percent will go to the Community Food Pantry.

Cookbook

SOUTH PARIS — The United Methodist women’s group of the Deering Memorial United Methodist Church has collected recipes from church members, families and friends and compiled them into a keepsake cookbook to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the building of the stone church. The cookbooks are $10 each and may be purchased from members of the church.

Proceeds will be used for charitable programs of the church and the church tower restoration fund. For more information, contact Thelma Bedient at 743-6206.

Girl Scouts

HIRAM — Girl Scouts of Maine will host an “All Out for Girl Scouts” event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16,  at South Hiram Elementary School.

Girls and adults are invited to attend the event to find out about the different ways today’s girls are participating in girl scouting. Girls will have an opportunity to sample some activities and adults will also learn becoming a Girl Scout volunteer.
