FARMINGTON — Floyd Winnfield Enman, 84, of Farmington, passed away peacefully on Friday, Sept. 3, at his home in Farmington.

He was born on Feb. 7, 1926, in New Sharon; the son of Samuel Newnhan and Suzzanna Enman.

He attended Farmington schools before being drafted into the U.S. Marines on May 18, 1944. He served with the 322nd Marine Corps as a machine gun crewman in the Pacific Theater and earned a Bronze Star. He was discharged as a CPL on May 2, 1946. He settled in Farmington with his wife, Edna Prescott, whom he married on June 18, 1947.

He was self-employed in trucking and construction before working with E.L. Vining & Son as a heavy equipment operator, retiring in 2008.

He is survived by his children, Sue Enman and her partner, Kathy Martin of Dixfield, Charlene Decker and her husband, Arthur “Sonny”, Jr. of New Vineyard and their children, Jennifer McKenney and her husband, Ben, of East Baldwin, Christopher Decker of Farmington and Melissa Decker and her companion, John Mills, of Medway, Patricia Reynolds and her husband, Duane, of Farmington and their children, Darren Reynolds and his wife, Kim, of Farmington, Matthew Reynolds and his wife, Sara, of Farmington, and Mark Reynolds of Farmington, Lynette Howard and her husband, Delmar, of Phillips and their children, Tony Howard of Lewiston, Tammie Packard and her husband, Randy, of Belgrade, and Amy Howard and her fiancé, Scott Griffiths, of Hermon, Debora Farmer and her husband, Gregory, of New Vineyard and their daughter, Ginger Farmer, of New Vineyard; a sister, Shirley Marshall of N.H.; a brother, Bruce Boyker and his wife, Carolyn, of Farmington; 16 great grandchildren; his long-time companion, Beverly Rita Fraser’s children, Jean Fraser of Eastport, Terry Collins and her husband, Walter, of Farmington, Mary Ellen Mayo and her husband, Garry, of New Sharon and Michele Campbell of New Sharon.

He was predeceased by his wife, Edna, on Nov. 2, 1978; a son, Douglas; a daughter, Sandra; a sister, Beatrice Pressey; a granddaughter, Maria Reynolds, in 2000; his long-time companion and friend, Beverly Rita Fraser, on June 18, 2010.
