DIXFIELD — The Dixfield Food Pantry will hold an open house from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, in the rear of the parking lot at 2 Chapel Road. All donors, supporters and members of the public are invited.
There will be a dedication service, free hot dogs, chips and drinks, music, and for clients, free food for their cupboards as well as a lot of free nonfood items. New clients will be accepted as well.
The Dixfield Food Pantry is operated by the Dixfield Common Baptist Church. More than 40 families have been helped in the last year alone. Pantry hours are from 9 a.m. to noon, Mondays and Thursdays, at the church. The pantry is open to any resident of Dixfield or East Dixfield.
