BOWDOINHAM — The Celebrate Bowdoinham 2010 parade will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, and spectators may receive some freebies while watching the parade. People on the parade route might receive a token for a free T-shirt, free rides on the mechanical bull, credit at the silent auction or the Bowdoinham Library book sale or a free ducky to be used in the KenDucky Derby.
There will be clowns, floats, bands, color guards, horses and riders and Kora Krazy Kops. The parade will go from the Fire Station on Route 136, south to Main Street, down Main Street to the center of the village, turn north onto River Road for a short while and then up Ridge Road to the conclusion of the parade at the Bowdoinham Community School on Cemetery Road. The Town will also honor those who have served the country by making veterans the grand marshals of the parade. Any veteran wishing to participate in the parade may call Ann Davis at 319-7572.
