AUBURN — The Auburn Public Library will offer a full schedule of PrimeTime programs again this fall. PrimeTime programs are designed to be especially of interest to adults age 50 and over, but anyone is invited to attend.
The programs will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesdays, Sept. 14 to Nov. 16, in the Androscoggin Community Room at the library, 49 Spring St. Admission to classic movie screenings is 50 cents and all other programs are free. Refreshments are served at all programs.
This fall’s programs include:
Sept. 14: Classic movie, “Father of the Bride,” with Spencer Tracy and Liz Taylor.
Sept. 21: “The Forgotten Longfellow,” with Senior College instructor Richard Cohen.
Sept. 28: Classic movie, “Show Boat,” with Howard Keel and Kathryn Grayson.
Oct. 5: “Curiosity: A Tool for Enriching Our Lives,” with Senior College instructor Charles Plummer.
Oct. 12: Classic movie, “Kiss Me Kate,” with Howard Keel and Kathryn Grayson.
Oct. 19: “Off the Road,” with Senior College instructor Alan Elze.
Oct. 26: Classic movie, “Roman Holiday,” with Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck.
Nov. 2: Classic movie, “High Society,” with Grace Kelly and Frank Sinatra.
Nov. 9: “Shaking the Family Tree,” with Jeff Brown of the Maine State Archives.
Nov. 16: Classic movie, “The Music Man,” with Robert Preston and Shirley Jones.
